HOW TO ALLOW COPY/PASTE IN Command Prompt. [cmd]

Sometimes, there are lot of things we neglect, having being convinced by self, that those things aren’t worth our time to learn them. Simply because we thought that we rarely need them, but often a time, we fall into a problem that requires such knowledge, and since we can’t provide solution to it, we run away!
What am I talking about?
I am pointing fingers to the computer users, who uses CMD most times, and knows how necessary and powerful it is to use CMD, but neglects the time it takes to learn more about it. But I’m here today, to reveal to you the importance of this and few lessons I am going to be posting here about the importance of CMD and little practical lessons in which after acquisition of them all, will make you an outstanding user.
Let’s get down to what we have today!
And that is how to enable quick edit for easy copy cmd output and pasting of already copied text.

Hope that is good?
Okay!
Do you know that one thing that I miss the most in Command Prompt is the ability to easily copy and paste text using the conventional Windows hotkeys? Most people think it is not possible. Smilez! That is the reason I always say that what you don’t know is bigger than you.
Normally, one would have to use the right-click context menu options to copy and paste text, but if you enable QuickEdit, you can do them using simple shortcuts.
Let’s get to the real stuff here, now!
So to enable the QuickEdit mode that will allow you to copy and paste using shortcuts in your computer keyboard, follow the guide below:
  1. ·        Right-click on the Command Prompt Title Bar.
  2. ·        Select Properties.
  3. ·        In the Properties Window under the Option Tab enable QuickEdit Mode.

That’s all you need to do; you can now quickly select text by dragging your mouse pointer.
Pressing the enter key on the selected text will copy the text to the clipboardand a simple left click would be enough to paste the text.

Hope you got those simple steps? It is really amazing to do what others can’t do in your office or workplace! It attracts respect.

Go check out for more related posts, and add more knowledge to the ones already acquired, there you go with the power it offers!
